The RSS-sponsored trust is going to create a media-sponsored trust in Gujarat that costs about Tk 5 million. The 5 acre campus will have state-of-the-art technology studios, media research centers, media museums and all other facilities that will change the future of media studies in India.
VSEF, a RSS-sponsored trust, created a media institute in Ahmedabad with the help of the National Institute of Mass Communication and Journalism. This institute will be combined with the National Institute of Mass Communication and Research. The new campus will be built in Hajipur village, about 12 km away from Ahmedabad. The foundation stone of this organization was held on February 27. NIMCaR will be launched from 2021. According to sources, the main objective of this organization is to create left-wing anti-print and electronic media journalists.
According to Gujarat political scientist Achyut Yagnik, the media cadre will be taken away by this media organization, not journalists, but will be created by the cadre of the Sangh Parivar. When asked about this issue, veteran RSS leader Pradeep Jain, however, said that they want to spread nationalism and good news. For this purpose, this organization is being created.
The RSS-promoted trust, VSEF, already runs a media institute in Ahmedabad since 2007 via National Institute of Mass Communication and Journalism (NIMCJ). It will be amalgamated into National Institute of Mass Communication and Research (NIMCaR) that will come up in Hajipur village, about 32 km from Ahmedabad.
The ground-breaking ceremony for the institute was held in February 2019 and NIMCaR will become operational by 2021. Sources said the purpose of the institute is to prepare journalists that can take on left-leaning intellectuals in the print and electronic media.
